Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services Ltd (SCECS) is seeking a permanent full-time Centre Director for our Leichhardt North service. You will lead the new centre and build your own team, setting up operations in partnership with SCECS.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Care, minimum two years in director/leadership, and strong knowledge of NQS/NQF/EYLF. Benefits include above-award pay, professional development, safe environment, and work-life balance.

• Current certifications: First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management, Food Safety Supervisor.

Description

We are looking for a Permanent Full-time Centre Director for our Leichhardt North location. This is a newly acquired service so you will have an opportunity to build your own team and help setting up with SCECS.

75 place Centre with 4 rooms. Street parking available.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care is essential.
• Leadership Experience: At least 2 years in a Director or leadership role within an early learning setting.
• Assessment & Rating Expertise: Confident and capable in navigating the Assessment and Rating process with a deep understanding of quality improvement.
• Planning & Documentation: A solid grasp of the Cycle of Planning and the ability to document and support children’s learning effectively.
• Regulatory Knowledge: A strong working knowledge of the National Quality Standard (NQS), National Quality Framework (NQF), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Current Certifications: Hold valid certifications in First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management, as well as a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Faith-Based Commitment: A genuine willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment of the centre. You’ll be expected to uphold and contribute to the Religious Education Framework as part of our holistic approach to care and learning.
