Job summary

Discovery at Play Early Learning Centres Beeliar is seeking an experienced Centre Director to lead a 68-place service featuring three rooms and a lakeside setting. You will oversee daily operations and provide strong leadership to your team to deliver high-quality education and care.

The role focuses on building a positive centre culture, managing enrolment, budgets and compliance with NQS and National Regulations, while supporting staff development and community partnerships.

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Centre Director, Assistant Director or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, NQS, National Law and National Regulations.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain/update as required.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Experience with staff recruitment, mentoring and performance management.
  • Sound understanding of centre budgets, occupancy, staffing and operational performance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Manage staffing, rostering, budgets and centre resources effectively.
  • Monitor centre occupancy and support enrolment and marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews and identify professional development opportunities

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a beautiful new centre featuring three thoughtfully designed rooms and a stunning lakeside setting. As Centre Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service while providing strong leadership and support to your team. You will play a key role in building a positive centre culture, maintaining high standards of education and care, supporting enrolment growth and ensuring the service meets all regulatory and compliance requirements.
