Early Learning Victoria Cohuna is opening a new 102-place centre and seeks an administration officer to support day-to-day operations. You will handle enrolments, Child Care Subsidy management, payroll and records, serving as a primary contact for families.
You will build strong relationships with families, staff and suppliers while ensuring compliance with National Law and ELV policies. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook is essential; experience with payroll systems is highly regarded.
Early Learning Victoria (ELV) is leading the roll-out of 50 government-owned and operated early learning centres by 2032, with 18 currently operating. Our centres offer long day care, three and four-year-old kindergarten and pre-prep in accessible, play-based environments connected to local communities. Opening in 2027 and co-located with Cohuna Consolidated School, Early Learning Victoria Cohuna is a 102-place centre offering long day care and three and Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs.
In this role, you will:
Provide administrative support across all aspects of centre operations, including enrolment processing, Child Care Subsidy management, payroll, attendance and record keeping
Serve as a key point of contact for families, responding to enquiries by phone, email and in person
Build and maintain strong relationships with families, colleagues, suppliers and the ELV central team
Process payments and perform data entry into the Child Care Management System and payroll systems
Monitor centre security and perform general administrative tasks including communications, team planning and accepting deliveries
Operate in accordance with Education Care Services National Law and Regulations and Early Learning Victoria policies and procedures

Previous experience in an administrativerole,ideallywith exposure to the early childhood sector
Experience in financial reporting and following organisational policies and procedures
Confidence using administrative software and systems, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Effective communication and relationship-building skills with staff, families and communities
Strong organisational skills, including time management, multitasking and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
