Job summary

Campsie RSL Group of Clubs is seeking a Cellar Person to support day-to-day cellar and bar operations. You will manage deliveries, stocktakes and transfers between cellar and bars while upholding OH&S standards and club policies.

Role requires knowledge of beer storage, ability to lift, and reliable transport. NSW RSA & RCG certification is essential. Join a community-focused team in Sydney’s Inner West.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of beer reticulation systems.
• Knowledge of storing beer, wine, spirits.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Strong organisational and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Receipting and storing deliveries.
• Assist in general deliveries throughout the club of liquor requirements.
• Perform monthly stocktakes and supply relevant reports to management.
• Perform general cleaning maintenance in the store and areas around it.
• Ensure workplace policies and safety procedures are followed.
• Organise, receive and accept deliveries and transfers between cellar and bars.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment per OH&S practices.

In this role, you will:

• Receipting and storing deliveries.
• Assist in general deliveries throughout the club of liquor requirements.
• Perform monthly stocktakes and supply relevant reports to management.
• Perform general cleaning maintenance in the store, including but not limited to dusting shelves, displays, etc.; vacuuming and sweeping floors; removing trash from store; cleaning store and cooler windows; washing shelves and bottles;
• The implementation of workplace policies and procedures as directed by management.
• managing transfers from cellar to bars including the recording of transfers and rotating stock
• Organise, receive and accept deliveries.
• Receive incoming goods, checking for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• To participate as part of a team providing services to management & patrons.
• Through the application of recognised occupational health and safety practices, provide a safe and healthy environment.
• To perform all duties consistent with the vision, mission, values and policies of the club and statutory requirements.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Experience, skills & attributes (Essential)

• Thorough understanding of Beer reticulation systems
• knowledge of storing beer, wine, spirits
• Physically able to bend, crouch, kneel & lift object weighing up to 20 kgs when required without assistance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• FullDrivers Licence
• Strong organisational and follow up skills.
• To adhere to club policies at all times
• Current NSW Competency Card (RSA & RCG)
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skill.
• Demonstrated experience in applying Occupational Health and Safety initiatives in a workplace.
• Ability to show initiative and judgement in the workplace
• Ability to speak a second or multiple languages
• Reliable transport
