Job summary

• Identify and report major repairs and coordinate contractors.

Reports to: General Manager / Operations Manager

Hours/Days: Casual Position

POSITION SUMMARY

• General repairs and maintenance throughout a broad range of areas within the club

• Maintaining public areas in a clean condition

• Perform maintenance and light repairs

• Perform routine landscaping on the grounds

• Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc)

• Repair Equipment or appliances

• Get quotes, schedule and assist tradespeople with required jobs

• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks

• Identify and report the need for major repairs

• Ensuring safety compliance

• Receive deliveries

• Setting up of function furniture and equipment

• Emergency Lighting audits

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Have a good understanding of building maintenance

• Perform general cleaning and maintenance

• Maintain cellar and general cleanliness including stock rotation

• Responsible for the thorough receipt of deliveries and the secure storage of stock and inventory

• Manual Handling and manual labour

• Efficient use of computers. Email, Systems

• Maintaining of essential services records

• Corresponding and liaising with contractors

• Run routine maintenance and safety inspections

• Monitor interior and exterior areas of the building for cleanliness and general presentation

• Comply with all OH&S policies and procedures

• Good analytical problem solving and on the spot initiative

• General aptitude in the following areas: Air conditioning, HVAC systems, refrigeration, door lock systems, painting, tiling, plumbing, and general furniture repairs

• Experience with hardware, tools and electrical equipment

Proven experience in a building and/or property maintenance role.

Other Requirement:

• Valid Driver’s licence

• Must have basic computer skills and a smart phone

• First Aid Certificate

• Good level of physical fitness

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if required (not often)
