Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Cellar Door Attendant for its Josef Chromy winery in Relbia, TAS. You will deliver exceptional guest experiences, host wine tastings, take reservations, handle sales, and assist with events in a fast-paced cellar door environment.

RSA certification is required, plus a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Wine knowledge is highly regarded, with a hospitality background preferred and the ability to lift up to 15 kg.

Responsibilities

• Lead wine appreciation and tastings for guests.
• Host detailed wine experiences for groups and private tastings.
• Maintain professional standards to create a welcoming guest experience.
• Take reservations, greet and seat guests.
• General cellar door tidying and restocking.
• Receive and handle payments and manage wine sales.
• Prepare for events and engage customers through storytelling.

About The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional service at the Josef Chromy Cellar Door. As a team we pride ourselves on creating an environment that is relaxed, friendly and supportive with a focus on excellent guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading wine appreciation and tasting
• Hosting detailed wine experiences for small and large groups, including private tastings
• Maintaining professional standards to create a welcoming customer experience
• Taking reservations, greeting and seating guests
• General tidying and cleaning in the cellar door, including re-stock
• Receiving and handling money
• Wine sales and general service
• Event preparation
• Engaging with our customers through entertaining and authentic story-telling

What do we need from you

• A current RSA
• A positive attitude and a great work ethic
• Strong wine knowledge highly regarded
• Passion and enthusiasm for great customer service and excellent customer service skills
• The ability to work well in a team
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced Cellar Door environment
• Ability to lift cases of wine and stock movements throughout our Cellar Door (up to 15kg)
• A hospitality background with proven customer service skills is preferred
• A strong sales background will be considered a plus
