Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking casual Laboratory Technicians for the 2027 Vintage at Dorrien Estate Winery in the Barossa Valley. The role involves routine analysis of juice, ferments and wine, with training provided. Candidates should be able to work weekends and long shifts during January–May 2027, maintaining SOPs and data accuracy.

Ideal applicants are detail-oriented, able to manage time well, and able to work autonomously within a small team while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous vintage or laboratory experience is preferred.
• Full training will be provided.
• Ability to work across weekends and long shifts during the vintage.

Dorrien Estate Winery is one of Australia’s leading grape crushing and Winemaking facilities. In the heart of the Barossa Valley, the winery provides full winemaking and processing services to contract customers.

The Winery is currently seeking casual Laboratory Technicians for the 2027 Vintage. Previous Vintage or Laboratory experience would be well regarded, but full training will be provided.

Employment will be on a seasonal casual basis. Applicants must be available for the entire vintage period between January and May 2027.

Shift Work, Weekends And Overtime Is Required

A Vintage Laboratory Technician will be involved in the routine analysis of juice/ferments and wine.

You Will Have The Following Skills

• You have an ability to work autonomously, have excellent time management and organisational skills.
• High motivation with a good understanding of numeracy and literacy.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to record precise data.
• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Possess a high level of attention to detail.
• Work cooperatively in a small team environment
• Accomplish objectives effectively within time frames.
• Highly motivated ethics, a good level computer skills and be a great team member.
