Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking a Cellar Door Attendant for Josef Chromy in Relbia, near Launceston, Tasmania. You will deliver exceptional guest experiences, lead wine tastings, host experiences for groups, and ensure high standards of service in a welcoming cellar door.

Candidates with RSA and a passion for wine and customer service will thrive in this fast-paced, team-driven environment; hospitality and sales experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• RSA certification required.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong wine knowledge is highly regarded.
• Passion for great customer service and excellent service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced cellar door environment.
• Ability to lift cases of wine and move stock up to 15 kg.
• Hospitality background is preferred; sales experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead wine appreciation and tastings.
• Host detailed wine experiences for small and large groups, including private tastings.
• Maintain professional standards to create a welcoming guest experience.
• Take reservations, greet and seat guests.
• General tidying and restocking in the cellar door.
• Receive and handle money.
• Sell wine and provide excellent service.
• Engage customers with entertaining, authentic storytelling.

Cellar Door Attendant - Josef Chromy

About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional service at the Josef Chromy Cellar Door. As a team we pride ourselves on creating an environment that is relaxed, friendly and supportive with a focus on excellent guest experiences.

Key responsibilities:

Leading wine appreciation and tasting

Hosting detailed wine experiences for small and large groups, including private tastings

Maintaining professional standards to create a welcoming customer experience

Taking reservations, greeting and seating guests

General tidying and cleaning in the cellar door, including re-stock

Receiving and handling money

Wine sales and general service

Engaging with our customers through entertaining and authentic story-telling

Qualifications

A current RSA

A positive attitude and a great work ethic

Strong wine knowledge highly regarded

Passion and enthusiasm for great customer service and excellent customer service skills

The ability to work well in a team

Great attention to detail

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced Cellar Door environment

Ability to lift cases of wine and stock movements throughout our Cellar Door (up to 15kg)

A hospitality background with proven customer service skills is preferred

A strong sales background will be considered a plus
