Job summary

NSW Health's Central Coast Local Health District is inviting graduates to join a 12-month Graduate Enrolled Nurse program at Central Coast. You will work under supervision of Registered Nurses to support patients and learn essential clinical skills.

The program offers two rotations, orientation days, monthly tutorials, peer support, and flexible hours to pursue further study. Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) and demonstrate patient-centred care.

  • Collect and report accurate health care information and maintain accurate health care documentation.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with patients, carers and other health care team members/colleagues regarding nursing care.

Are you a recently or soon to be Graduated Enrolled Nurse who is passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? Central Coast Local Health District is looking for Graduate Enrolled Nurses to join our nursing team and contribute to safe, person-centred care across our services.

About the Opportunity

As a newly Graduated Enrolled Nurse, you will work under the direction and supervision of our Registered Nurses to support and care for patients. Your role is vital in ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety for every individual in our care.

The Program runs for 12 months and offers 2 six month rotations, 3 dedicated orientation days, monthly clinical tutorials and peer support, simulation day training and ongoing support and education through the year. The program allows for full and part time hours with flexibility available for you to pursue higher education in undergraduate nursing study.

This position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care and enhancing the overall patient experience. In this role you will:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide physical and psychological comfort and support.
  • Assist with patient assessment including observation and monitoring of Mental health status.
  • Collect and report accurate health care information and maintain accurate health care documentation.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with patients, carers and other health care team members/colleagues regarding nursing care.
