Job summary

Mona Vale Golf Club is seeking a motivated Casual Groundsman to join our Golf Course Maintenance Team and support the day-to-day presentation of the course and gardens. This role offers 38 hours per week with weekend roster once trained, and a pathway to full-time employment for the right person.

You will work outdoors as part of a friendly team, perform mowing, turfing, garden care and course presentation tasks, and learn our maintenance programs with on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• General golf course and grounds maintenance.
• Mowing, line trimming & Turfing.
• Garden and landscape maintenance.
• Bunker and course presentation work.
• Weeding, planting and general garden care.
• Assisting with other course maintenance programs.
• General cleaning and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Assisting the Greenkeeping team with daily course preparation.
• Other general duties as required.

About the Role

Working as part of our course maintenance team, you will assist with the day-to-day presentation and maintenance of the golf course. Duties will include:

• General golf course and grounds maintenance
• Mowing, line trimming & Turfing
• Garden and landscape maintenance
• Bunker and course presentation work
• Weeding, planting and general garden care
• Assisting with other course maintenance programs
• General cleaning and maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Assisting the Greenkeeping team with daily course preparation
• Other general duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
• Has a drivers license
• Enjoys working outdoors and in a team environment

• Is physically fit and comfortable with manual work

Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, turf management, grounds maintenance or greenkeeping is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided to the right person.
