Job summary

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Oatley, part of Sydney Catholic Schools, invites applications for an Acting Religious Education Coordinator. The role sits on the senior leadership team, guiding Religious Education and the school’s Catholic life, with a 0.4 FTE REC and 0.6 FTE teaching allocation.

You will lead liturgies, curriculum development, and engage with parish communities, supported by an attractive remuneration package, salary packaging up to $15,900 annually, and up to 25% school

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education, Theology or Theological Studies.
• Ability to demonstrate the standard descriptors at lead teacher level, in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Post graduate units of study in leadership (advantageous).
• Committed Catholic with ongoing engagement in the life of the Catholic Church.

Responsibilities

• Lead the teaching and learning of Religious Education and the wider religious dimension of the school.
• Shape the Catholic life, vision and strategic direction of the school.
• Lead liturgies and celebrations, and contribute to curriculum development, implementation and differentiation.
• Collaborate with priests and parish community; work within a shared leadership model.
• Manage 0.4 FTE REC allocation and 0.6 FTE teaching allocation as part of the role.
