Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Oatley in Sydney seeks an Acting Religious Education Coordinator to shape Catholic life, vision and strategic direction. The role combines 0.4FTE REC allocation with 0.6FTE teaching work, reporting to the school's senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will be a committed Catholic, experienced in Catholic identity leadership, capable of leading liturgies, curriculum development, and collaborating across stages with data-informed planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education or Theology (or pursuing).
• Category E accreditation requirements to Work, Teach and Lead.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership as per Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the teaching and learning of Religious Education and the wider religious dimension of the school.
• Lead preparation of liturgies and celebrations and curriculum development, differentiation.
• Demonstrate contemporary pedagogy and lead change to improve student learning.
