Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a caring Catering team member to provide resident meal service and assist with meal preparation at St Bede's South Hurstville. You will help deliver a high quality dining experience, support colleagues, and follow safety policies to protect residents and staff.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills; a Certificate III in Hospitality is desirable but not essential. NDIS and Police checks are expected or to be obtained.

Qualifications

• Heart for providing high quality care to residents.
• Cert. III in Hospitality is desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain.

As a member of the Catering team at St Bede's South Hurstville, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

• Location - South Hurstville
• Permanent Part Time position available - Monday and Thursday, 7:00am to 2:00pm total 6.5 hours a shift
• Pay rate – $33.20 + super
• Not for profit employer so pay less tax!

About the Role:

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
