Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is hiring for a casual catering role in Croydon, NSW. You will prepare high quality meals and provide excellent dining service to residents, supporting a compassionate, values-driven team.

The role emphasises safety, teamwork and respectful engagement with residents and their families. Prior hospitality experience is valued, and a Certificate III in Hospitality is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Heart and passion for high quality care and service.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) is desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of food safety, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Warm, empathetic interpersonal skills with residents and families.
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Catering team at Holy Spirit Croydon, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

About the Role:

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
