Job summary

Cater Care in Glen Waverley, Victoria is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to join our aged care kitchen team. You’ll help prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, working with a supportive team to deliver a positive dining experience.

The ideal candidate has food prep or customer service experience, strong communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A current Police Check and Flu Vaccination, or willingness to obtain them, are preferred.

• Replenish food and kitchen supplies during service.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
• Set tables and assist residents during mealtimes.

Your Role and Responsibilities

You’ll play an important role in delivering a positive dining experience for residents. Your duties will include:

• Preparing fresh salads, sandwiches and texture-modified meals
• Assisting with meal preparation, plating and service
• Replenishing food and kitchen supplies throughout service
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Dishwashing and general kitchen duties
• Setting tables and assisting residents during mealtimes
