Job summary

The Law Society of New South Wales is seeking a casual Catering Assistant for the Sydney CBD location. This 65% back-of-house and 35% front-of-house role runs Monday to Friday, up to 20 hours per week, and supports catering for meetings, events, and daily tuck shop orders.

Responsibilities include setting up boardrooms, basic food prep, coffee service, and ensuring food hygiene standards. Previous food prep and customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Safe Food Handling certificate is required.
• Experience in customer service.
• Basic barista skills with ongoing training.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation.
• National Police Check is required.
• Ability to work on rosters including evenings.

Responsibilities

• Set up boardrooms for catering, deliver and reset spaces.
• Assist with basic food prep and plating of items.
• Prepare and serve coffees, take tuck shop orders and process payments.
• Wash and clean kitchen, coffee station and dining areas.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Support team as needed.
