What you’ll do

Working closely with our kitchen team, you’ll help ensure residents enjoy nutritious, high-quality meals and friendly, attentive service.

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, high-quality meals.
• Supporting food preparation, basic cooking, presentation, plating and meal delivery to dining areas.
• Providing friendly and attentive customer service to residents and their families.
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and complying with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Assisting with stock control, stock rotation and receipting deliveries.
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a positive and respectful workplace.

What you’ll bring

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• A friendly and approachable personality, with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Previous food preparation or kitchen-hand experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally within aged care or healthcare.
• The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work a variety of casual shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekdays and weekends, as required.
• An understanding of food safety standards and relevant workplace requirements.
• Good communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
• A Certificate III in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
