Job summary

Scalabrini Communities in New South Wales is seeking passionate Catering Assistants (Kitchen Hand) to join our casual pool at Chipping Norton. You will work with the Executive Chef to prepare nutritious meals for residents and support dining service.

The role requires prior food preparation experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in aged care, a can-do attitude, flexibility across AM/PM shifts, and good communication to ensure outstanding resident service.

Qualifications

• Great attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

• Previous experience in food preparation in a commercial kitchen, preferably in aged care or health services.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Flexible AM/PM weekday/weekend shifts.

• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent desirable.

We are looking for passionate, caring, and highly organised Catering Assistants (Kitchen Hand) to join our team on a Casual basis in Chipping Norton!

Working closely with the Executive Chef you will be responsible for:

• The preparation and service of high-quality, nutritious meals for the residents on-site.
• Food preparation, basic cooking, food presentation and plating, and food delivery/service to dining areas.
• Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that residents receive a warm welcome, individualised attention, and responsive service.
• Complying with all food and safety requirements as regulated and scheduled.
• Assisting with stock control, rotation of stock, and receipting deliveries.
• Contributing to a harmonious and cooperative team culture based on mutual respect and trust.

The successful applicants will display:
