Job summary

RSL LifeCare in NSW is seeking a Catering Assistant (Casual) to support our aged care homes by delivering high quality catering services for residents and visitors. You will work with the Head Chef, ensure safety standards, and maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment while delivering friendly, resident-focused service.

You will assist with serving meals, accommodating dietary requirements, and building strong team relationships to create a positive dining experience for the community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work with the catering team and Head Chef to deliver high quality services for residents and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards.
• Keep kitchen, equipment and dining areas clean and organized.
• Provide a friendly resident-focused dining experience.
• Serve meals and snacks, accommodating dietary needs.
• Foster strong relationships with team to deliver positive dining experiences.

About the role

• Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors
• Comply with Food Safety Standards
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work environment; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents, their families and visitors
• Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs
• Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience

• Australian Working Rights

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
