RSL LifeCare Limited is seeking a Catering Assistant in Newcastle, NSW. You will work with the Head Chef to deliver quality meals, support residents and their visitors, and maintain a clean kitchen and dining area in a not-for-profit aged care setting.

You will ensure safe food practices, interact positively with residents and families, and contribute to a team-focused dining experience in our NSW locations.

Responsabilités

• Assist in providing high-quality catering services for residents and visitors.

• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
• Provide friendly resident interactions and good customer service.
• Serve meals and snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met.

About the role

• Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors
• Comply with Food Safety Standards
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work environment; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents, their families and visitors
• Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs
• Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience

Qualifications in catering and hospitality or related work experience are beneficial but not essential. We can help you learn and develop in the role.

Australian Working Rights

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
