Job summary

RSL LifeCare Limited in Penrith is looking for a casual Catering Assistant to support dining services for residents and visitors. You will work with the Head Chef and catering team to deliver quality meals and keep the kitchen clean and efficient.

The role emphasises compassion, teamwork and excellent communication with residents and their families. A police check or NDIS check may be required; catering experience is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in catering or hospitality are beneficial.
• Police check or NDIS check is required prior to employment.
• Aged care sector experience is not strictly required.

Responsibilities

• Work with the catering team and Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and visitors
• Comply with Food Safety Standards
• Maintain a clean, efficient kitchen, dishwashing and dining areas
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents and families

• Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors
• Comply with Food Safety Standards
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work environment; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents, their families and visitors
• Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs
• Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience

Qualifications in catering and hospitality or related work experience are beneficial but not essential. We can help you learn and develop in the role.

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
