Job summary

RSL LifeCare in Nowra is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to join our dedicated kitchen and dining teams. You will support meal service, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure a safe, friendly dining environment for residents and visitors.

Join a not-for-profit aged care provider with flexible shifts, opportunities for development, and dedicated team support. Australian Working Rights required; a current police or NDIS check will be required prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated compassion and empathy for residents and families.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to ensure good resident experience.
• Team player with ability to collaborate in a kitchen/dining setting.
• Ability to work efficiently while complying with quality and safety standards.
• Catering/hospitality qualifications or related experience are beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with the catering team and Head Chef to provide high quality services for residents and visitors.
• Comply with Food Safety Standards.
• Maintain a clean, efficient kitchen, dining areas and equipment.
• Provide friendly resident service and assist with meals and dietary needs.
• Build positive relationships with team to deliver a great dining experience.

• Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors
• Comply with Food Safety Standards
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work environment; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents, their families and visitors
• Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs
• Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience
