Job summary

Fresh Hope Communities is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant in NSW to enhance residents' dining experience with a personalised, customer-focused approach while maintaining food safety practices.

Casual positions available at Coffs Haven Residential Care Service in Coffs Harbour. You will support a home-like dining ambiance, participating in meal service, kitchen duties and documentation, in a team that values kindness and respect for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or care services, ideally within residential aged care.
• Able to use IT systems and learn new tools.
• Strong communication skills with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide meals to residents at their chosen mealtimes.
• Serve a varied and nutritious meals and meet residents’ needs in aged care settings.
• Deliver excellent personalised service to residents.
• Prepare meals and drinks and assist the chef with kitchen duties.
• Distribute meals, clean as needed and assist in dining room operations.
• Complete documentation related to dining service.
• Uphold values of kindness, integrity, connection and optimism.

You can support this individualized care model by:

• Ensuring food is provided to residents at their chosen mealtime
• Provide a varied and nutritional food service, which meets the needs of the aged residents within the residential aged care setting.
• Provide excellent personalised service to our residents.
• Prepare meals and drinks.
• Distribute meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
• Dining room services.
• Complete documentation.

What You Bring

• You bring experience in hospitality or care services, ideally within residential aged care, qualifications a plus
• You're warm, approachable and communicate clearly with residents and team members
• You're comfortable using IT systems and open to learning new tools
• You work well in a team and always put residents at the centre of what you do
• You're physically capable of handling a hands-on role and ready to pitch in where needed
• You hold (or are willing to obtain) a current National Criminal History Check suitable for aged care
