Job summary

Thompson Health Care in Sydney is seeking enthusiastic Catering and Cleaning Attendants to join our Boronia House team on a casual basis. Based at 183 Boronia Rd, North St Marys NSW, you will work within an established, caring team to support residents with dining and daily living tasks.

The role requires a Police Check, likely 1 year of related experience, and a positive attitude with a focus on hygiene and infection control.

Qualifications

• Police Check (National Police Certificate) – Essential.
• At least 1 year experience as a catering attendant or cleaner.
• Previous aged care experience is desirable.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with teamwork ability.
• Understanding of infection prevention and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining surfaces.
• Assist with meal service, clear dishware, and support residents' dining needs.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety in the facility.

Desired Skills, Experience & Responsibilities:

Police Check (National Police Certificate) (Essential)

At least 1 year experience as a catering attendant or cleaner (Desirable)

Previous experience in aged care (Desirable)

Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Perform cleaning duties including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and maintaining surfaces such as windows and doors

Assist with meal service, clear dishware, and support residents' dining requirements

Commitment to delivering high-quality services and enhancing the resident experience

Understanding of infection prevention and control practices

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety

A genuine passion for supporting and caring for older people
