Job summary

SDS Wellness, a leading Australian importer and distributor of premium European sauna and timber products, seeks a Category Manager in Sydney. You will drive product strategy, manage supplier terms, optimise pricing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, procurement, and merchandising.

3+ years in a similar role with ERP/WMS experience and strong analytical skills is essential. Import/distribution or manufacturing background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience with ERP or WMS platforms (Zoho, Unleashed, Cin7, SAP, NetSuite or similar).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with international suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Prior experience in import/distribution or manufacturing preferred.
• Experience developing or improving SOPs for purchasing and stock management.
• Experience generating dashboards for purchasing, stock movement, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Decide which products to add, retain, or remove based on consumer demand and performance metrics
• Research consumer behavior, purchasing habits, and competitor activity to identify trends
• Set competitive product pricing and work with marketing teams to plan advertising and promotions
• Negotiate contracts, manage vendor terms, and build strong partnerships to ensure consistent product supply and favourable pricing
• Monitor category budgets, revenue, and product demand forecasts to hit financial goals
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, procurement, and merchandising teams to execute category strategies
• Organise stakeholders and sales teams to implement promotion strategies for product categories
• Analyse sales and marketing data to understand consumer behaviours and optimise pricing
• Review market performance reports and identify expansion opportunities
