Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a casual Support Worker for the Women’s Program in Alice Springs, NT. You will support residents with daily living, maintain records and respond to incidents, working with case managers to progress individual goals.

Casual position with 24/7 roster, after-hours shifts, and a focus on trauma-informed care to empower residents towards independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in community services or related field.
• Ability to support women transitioning from custody or justice system.
• Demonstrated trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living tasks and routines.
• Maintain accurate client records and data in TSA systems.
• Respond to incidents and support case plans.
• Participate in 24/7 roster with after-hours shifts.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for residents.
