Job summary

Northern Grampians Shire Council is recruiting Lifeguards for Multiple Casual Positions in Stawell, Regional Victoria. The role offers an hourly rate of $38.97 including 25% casual loading and 12% superannuation, with applications closing Nov 23, 2026.

You will supervise swimmers, operate waterslides, assist with pool activities, and ensure safety and customer service in a welcoming environment. Training is provided, and a positive team spirit is essential.

Qualifications

• ARC-recognised resuscitation certification.
• Knowledge of pool supervision and water safety.
• Understanding of public safety requirements in an aquatic environment.
• Knowledge of codes of practice, legislation, and health & safety for aquatic facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patrons to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment.
• Conduct regular pool deck safety checks.
• Safely operate the waterslide and water-play equipment.
• Respond to incidents and report OH&S and customer concerns.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the pool and changerooms.
