Job summary

The Salvation Army in Griffith, NSW is seeking a values-driven casual Sales Assistant to help deliver an engaging in-store experience for our team, customers and community.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the role supports day-to-day retail operations, POS use, sorting and pricing donations, merchandising, and delivering exceptional service while working a rolling weekend roster across our retail locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
• Strong customer service interaction and communication skills.
• Ability to energize and engage customers and colleagues.
• Comfort with a fast-paced retail environment and rolling rosters.
• Willingness to work across multiple local locations as needed.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

An opportunity for a talented, values-driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this casual role is based in Griffith , NSW.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 1.

Key Responsibilities:

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices

• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.

• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation

• Provide exceptional Customer Service

• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure

• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures

• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities

About You:

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential

• Strong customer service skills

• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results

• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity

• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends

• Preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area
