Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and create an inspiring in-store experience in Griffith, NSW. Reporting to the Area Manager, this casual role offers flexibility including weekends and a focus on customer service and community engagement.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 1, with benefits including salary packaging and employee discounts.

Responsibilities

• Operate Point of Sale devices and manage transactions.
• Sort, price and prepare donated items for sale.
• Assist in visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support customers.
• Display stock according to policy and department.
• Follow OH&S policies and procedures.

About The Role

An opportunity for a talented, values-driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members. Reporting to the Area Manager, this casual role is based in Griffith, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation
• Provide exceptional Customer Service
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities

About You

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential
• Strong customer service skills
• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results
• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity
• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends
• Preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area
