Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a talented Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations in Batemans Bay, NSW. Reporting to the Area Manager, this role offers an in-store experience that serves customers and the community, with conditions aligned to the Retail General Industry Award, Level 1.

You will handle POS devices, price donations, assist with merchandising, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding TSA values of integrity, respect and compassion.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Passion to deliver outstanding results.
• Align with TSA values: integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, diversity.
• Willing to work across locations in the retail area.
• Flexibility to rolling roster including weekends.

Responsibilities

About The Role

An opportunity for a talented, values-driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members. Reporting to the Area Manager, this casual role is based in Batemans Bay, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation
• Provide exceptional Customer Service
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities

About You

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential
• Strong customer service skills
• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results
• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity
• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends
• Preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area
