Job summary

The Salvation Army in Victor Harbor is seeking a casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day store operations and create a welcoming in-store experience for customers and the local community.

Reporting to the Store Manager, the role is based in Victor Harbor and involves a rolling roster including weekends. Previous retail exposure is helpful, with a focus on service, teamwork and living our values in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices.
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in the development and coordination of visual merchandising and store presentation.

• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities.

About The Role:

An opportunity for a talented, values-driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.

Reporting to the Store Manager, this is a casual role based in Victor Harbour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices;

• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.

• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation

• Provide exceptional Customer Service

• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.

• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures

• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities.

About You:

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results.

• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.

• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
