Job summary

Springmount Services is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard our Forest Lake Shopping Centre site. You will work on a roster with management, providing pro-active support to the team, customers and retailers, while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Ideal candidates hold a current Security Licence, First Aid/CPR and a valid Driver’s Licence, with experience in CCTV, access control and Fire Finder systems. Uniform is provided and ongoing development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Relevant security experience in a shopping centre or retail environment.
• Pro-active support to team, customers, and centre management.
• Compliance with company procedures.
• Current security licence required.
• Current drivers licence.
• Current first aid and CPR certification.
• Experience with CCTV and access control systems.
• Familiarity with Fire Finder Systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Springmount Services is a 100% Australian owned and operated integrated services company with over 1700 staff nationwide, and we are currently on the lookout for a Security Officer, who share our commitment to service excellence and care.

We have a position available based at our Forest Lake Shopping Centre site and we are looking for an enthusiastic, engaging team member who is passionate about delivering a great experience to our customers with every interaction.

Security Officer

You will be working a roster as discussed with Springmount Services Management and will need to be available for Sick Leave and Annual Leave Relief.

This role you will be working alongside Security providers who are responsible for a range of duties and work to agreed schedules to deliver an exceptionally high standard or work. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Key Selection Criteria

• Being able to provide pro-active to support to the team, customers, Centre Management and Centre retailers.
• Exclusive knowledge of Fire Finder Systems-ability to use competently & correctly.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Current Security Licence.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Current First aid and CPR.
• Monitoring/use of CCTV systems.
• Access control-swipe card-control-issuing.
• Use of electronic controlling systems for doors.
• Use of Fire Control Systems/Platforms.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite to conduct daily tasks.
• Attention to Detail.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills applicable in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
• High standard of presentation.
• Personable with exceptional time management skills, and the ability to engage a diverse range of people.
