Cater Care is seeking a casual Production Chef 2IC for our NSW team at Arndell Park to prepare high-quality meals in a fast-paced production kitchen. The role requires the ability to produce Texture Modified Meals and maintain food safety and presentation standards.

You will support a busy kitchen, collaborate with team members, adhere to dietary requirements, and contribute to safe, nutritious meals for residents and clients.

Formación

• Experience with Texture Modified Food and ability to adapt meals to texture requirements.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs and texture texturing.
• Strong food safety and hygiene practices, HACCP experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook meals per menus, recipes and dietary requirements.
• Produce Texture Modified Meals to required standards.
• Maintain texture, portion size, quality and presentation.

About the opportunity

As a Production Chef, you’ll play an important role in preparing and producing high-quality, nutritious meals in a busy catering environment. This role is ideal for a Chef who understands that food needs to be not only delicious, but also safe, nutritious and appropriate for each individual’s needs. A sound understanding of Texture Modified Food is essential, including the ability to prepare meals to the required texture and consistency while maintaining quality, presentation and food safety standards.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals in accordance with menus, recipes and dietary requirements.
• Preparing and producing Texture Modified Meals to the required standards.
• Ensuring consistency in texture, portion size, quality and presentation.
• Following food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures.
• Working efficiently within a busy production kitchen.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
• Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared and delivered on time.
• Taking pride in the quality and presentation of every meal you prepare.

Desired Skills and Experience

You’re a qualified or experienced Chef who takes pride in your work, enjoys being part of a team and is committed to delivering consistently high-quality food.

• Practical knowledge and experience with Texture Modified Food.
• An understanding of special dietary requirements.

• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Experience in Aged Care, healthcare or contract catering will be highly regarded.
