Responsabilidades

• Public safety: supervise facility, attend to first aid, conduct water tests, attend in-service training.
• Programming: set up/dismantle equipment for programs with safety checks.
• Customer service: provide high-level service and comply with Customer Service Charter.
• WH&S: keep work area safe, clean, and tidy, and protect own safety and others.

About the Role

Our award-winning leisure centre, Beatty Park, is looking for competent and motivated Lifeguards to join our close knit customer-focused team.

Key duties of the role will include:

• Public safety: supervise public use of the facility, attend to any first aid cases, conduct water tests and attend regular in-service training sessions.
• Programming: set up and dismantle, as well as ensure safety and security, of equipment for programs
• Customer Service: Provide a high level of internal and external customer service and comply with the Council’s Customer Service Charter
• Workplace Health and Health: ensure that work area is maintained in a safe, clean, and tidy condition, so that risk of accidents occurring is reduced to a minimum and exercise a duty of care regarding own safety and that of others.

What are we looking for?

• A strong swimmer with the fitness ability to endure real and/or test ‘rescue’ swims
• Previous experience working in a leisure centre environment is highly regarded
• Pool Lifeguard Award or equivalent
• Provide First Aid Certificate
• Resuscitation Certificate and Oxygen Training (desirable)
• A Pool Management Certificate will be highly regarded but is not essential

Successful candidates will be available to work a range of shifts including weekends. We are looking for individuals who can show initiative, build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and demonstrate a friendly “can-do” attitude with a strong customer service ethics.
