Job summary

Maestro Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Casual Pizzaiolo for our Cibaria Manly kitchen, opposite Manly Beach. The role focuses on dough production, fermentation, stretching, and pizza cooking to our venue standards.

Candidates should demonstrate 1–3 years’ Pizzaiolo experience in a professional kitchen, strong food-safety knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience as a Pizzaiolo in a professional commercial kitchen
• Demonstrated experience in dough production, fermentation management, stretching, and pizza cooking techniques
• Experience working in high-volume hospitality environments
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a professional kitchen brigade
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required
• Formal culinary qualifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, ferment, portion, and manage pizza dough production
• Stretch, top, and cook pizzette to established venue standards
• Monitor product quality, consistency, and presentation during service
• Maintain stock levels and assist with ordering requirements
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently upheld
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team during service
• Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials where required
• Assist with training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
