Job summary

Ingenia Communities Group is seeking a Casual Pizza Chef for the Tallow Café & Bar Byron Bay site. You will support daily kitchen operations, preparing meals to high presentation standards and assisting with ordering, stock management, and safety compliance.

The role requires chef qualifications, HACCP and accredited food safety training, plus strong communication and team‑oriented attitude. You’ll be part of a friendly, flexible team in a resort/kitchen setting.

Qualifications

• Chef qualifications and HACCP knowledge with accredited food safety training.
• Experienced with strong communication skills and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals following Chef instructions and presentation standards.
• Manage food ordering, receiving, rotation, and stock to ensure freshness and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with Head/Sous Chef and support a positive team environment.
• Follow WHS policies and use PPE safely.
