Job summary

Cabrini Health in Melbourne's southeast is recruiting casual Patient Food Service Assistants for Cabrini Malvern Hospital. You will support menu ordering, prepare and serve meals, and help maintain clean kitchen areas while delivering care in patient rooms.

Shift patterns include days, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Applicants should have a Food Handlers Certificate (or be willing to obtain), knowledge of diet codes, at least 12 months in a food service setting, and strong English

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to undertake)
• Knowledge of culinary and nutritional terminology including diet codes is preferable
• Experience in a food service or service industry of at least 12 months is highly regarded
• Willingness to learn and follow directions
• Strong written and spoken English communication
• Flexible approach to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Good interpersonal skills for patient and colleague interactions
