Job summary

Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Pastry Chef to join the team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin. You’ll showcase passion and creativity in pastries and desserts, contributing to top-tier menu planning and design.

In this fast-paced kitchen, you’ll prepare high-quality pastries, support premium dining and events, and uphold HACCP and WHS standards. A trade qualification in patisserie is preferred, along with a strong eye for detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pastry experience in a professional kitchen, events or high-volume service.
• Trade qualification in Patisserie.
• Attention to detail and presentation.
• Ability to work to tight timeframes and maintain calm during peak service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality pastries and desserts in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Support service across premium dining areas and event catering, maintaining consistency under pressure.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and WHS practices, including HACCP principles.
• Assist with prep, stock rotation, and keeping your section organised and service-ready.
• Contribute to a team culture built on clear communication, calm service, and high standards.
