The Great Southern Hotel Sydney is seeking a well-presented Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team in a casual capacity. You will handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and daily audits while ensuring accurate billing and professional guest interactions.

Job description

The Great Southern Hotel Sydney (GSH-Sydney) is a busy heritage-listed hotel located in the heart of Sydney’s vibrant entertainment district, offering 176 rooms, and maintaining an occupancy rate of 99%. The hotel is within walking distance of the CBD, Central Station, Chinatown, Darling Harbour, and Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centres. The Great Southern Hotel is currently seeking a well-presented individual to join our Front Office team in the Casual position of Guest Service Agent.

About the role:

As our NA, your responsibilities will include:

• Check-in and Check-out of guests.
• Auditing all daily hotel transactions and daily shift reports.
• Competently taking and processing reservations.
• Ensuring professionalism and accuracy with information and billing during arrival and departure.
• Taking responsibility to ensure all required tasks are completed accurately and within given time frames.
• Dealing with any guest complaints in a professional manner.
• Conducting site and safety walks around the hotel.

• Knowledge of Oracle/Micros - Opera PMS Systems would be considered as an advantage
• Must be available to work AM, PM and NA shifts on a flexible rotating roster (inclusive of Public Holidays).
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office 365
