Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions in Mitchell, QLD is seeking a customer-focused Merchandise Support team member to join our local branch. You will assist customers in-store and over the phone, process sales, manage stock, and support day-to-day operations with a friendly, efficient approach.

You’ll bring strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills, plus a current driver’s licence. Forklift licence is valued but not essential.

What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our customers, building strong relationships and supporting the day-to-day operations of our Mitchell branch. Our customers range from local farmers and primary producers to trade and retail customers, and you'll be the friendly face that helps ensure every interaction is a positive one.

In this hands-on role, you'll be involved in a variety of activities, including:

• Providing exceptional customer service both in-store and over the phone
• Processing sales and assisting customers with product and pricing enquiries
• Performing general administrative duties, including stock control and inventory management
• Supporting the accurate receival, dispatch and movement of goods
• Maintaining a safe work environment and following company safety procedures
• Assisting with telephone and reception enquiries
• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming store environment
• Loading and unloading trucks, unpacking deliveries and preparing customer orders

What You'll Bring:

You'll ideally bring:

• Experience in a customer service, retail, sales support or merchandise environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding solutions
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• A genuine interest in agriculture, livestock or rural communities
• A current driver's licence
• A forklift licence (highly regarded but not essential)
