Gippsland Care Services is seeking a compassionate Home Care Support Worker for casual shifts in Warragul and surrounding areas. You will support clients at home or in community settings, helping with daily living tasks and promoting independence.

Role requires certificate qualifications, current CPR/First Aid, police check, vaccination status, and a valid Australian Driver’s Licence. Excellent communication and reliability are essential for this community-based role.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support, Home & Community, or Youth
• Current CPR/BLS Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current Police Check (within 6 months)
• Up-to-date vaccination status
• Australian Driver’s Licence (unrestricted)
• Registered and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• 6–12 months experience in a support worker role (preferred)

Responsabilités

• Provide client care using a person-centred approach per Individual Care Plan
• Assist with daily routines, personal hygiene, meals
• Support with medication per care plan
• Respond promptly to health deterioration by contacting emergency services, HCA, or supervisor
• Create a safe environment following policy and behaviour support plan
• Encourage participation in activities and community events including transport
• Work in clients’ homes or community settings following policies and documentation
• Report incidents and near-misses per the NDIS Act
