Job summary

Beyond Barriers Gippsland Pty Ltd in Morwell invites applications for a Casual Disability Support Worker to support individuals in home and community settings across Gippsland. The role requires availability for at least 10 hours per week, including one weekend per month and some evenings.

We seek compassionate, reliable team members who can build rapport, work independently, and help clients live more independently. Ongoing training, inclusive team culture, and EAP support are offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in individual support or Diploma in community services (desirable).
• Minimum 6 months experience in disability support or a similar role (desirable).
• Current Driver's Licence and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (obtain if not held).
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module and Supporting People to Stay Infection Free module (complete if not already).
• Applicants must have legal work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with household tasks to ensure a safe living environment.
• Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management.
• Encourage independence and self-confidence with guidance and support.
• Foster meaningful connections through listening, companionship and empathy.
• Conduct regular assessments, maintain records, and report changes to supervisor.
• Maintain participant health records and documentation.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control measures.
