Job summary

Shellharbour City Council is seeking Civic Centre Functions Staff to support the Venues and Activations Team in delivering engaging community events at the Shellharbour Civic Centre.

Role includes coordinating events, setting up and packing down spaces, and assisting with inhouse AV requirements to ensure smooth execution. The position is casual with flexible hours, located in Shellharbour NSW.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Hospitality or events experience is preferred to deliver smooth functions.
• Proactive and reliable team player who adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of AV equipment setup (training available).

This is your chance to play a key role in maximising the use of the Shellharbour Civic Centre through vibrant activations, professional event delivery and community-focused goals.

About the role

• Assisting with the coordination and professional delivery of events and functions at the Shellharbour Civic Centre.
• Setting up and packing down rooms for various functions and events.
• Assisting with the setup of the inhouse audio and visual requirements to ensure seamless event execution.

About you

• A strong focus on customer service and a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Hospitality or events experience – you understand what it takes to deliver a smooth and successful function.
• A proactive and reliable team player who can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of AV equipment setup (training can be provided).
