Job summary

Bega Cheese Limited at the Ridge Street site in New South Wales is seeking 3 casual Forklift Operators to move pallets of cheese and related products within a contract manufacturing setting. You will handle loading, unloading and stocking tasks with attention to safety and quality standards.

Shifts include rotating day/afternoon (Mon–Fri) and a dedicated night shift (Sun–Fri), offering learning opportunities in a high-volume dairy operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing /warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift license (good to have).
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Basic computer literacy skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration to work with drivers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Reporting of all safety incidents and issues.
• Accurate completion of Forklift Daily Check and all quality-related documentation.
• Inspect, identify and reject non-conforming loads & racking.
• Ensure timely and complete delivery of loads and correct scanning to control stock.
• Adhering to company safety and quality policies and procedures.

The Role

Our Ridge Street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheese. These include the renowned Bega cheese blocks – Mild, Tasty, and Vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and lactose free. Processed blocks & cheese slices. A Casual Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving pallets of cheese, materials or stock to and from storage, loading docks, or other areas related to the plant using a forklift. We currently have three casual opportunities available:

• 2 x Rotating Day/Afternoon Shift (Monday to Friday): Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• 1 x Night Shift (Sunday to Friday): Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
