Toby’s Estate is seeking a casual front-of-house team member at our Fitzroy cafe. You will be part of a dynamic crew, delivering exceptional coffee and hospitality with a smile, and helping ensure smooth service across busy periods.

The role suits someone who loves coffee, thrives on providing memorable customer experiences, and can work well under pressure while maintaining friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver high-quality service to customers.
• Passion for coffee and hospitality industry.

About Us:

Toby started roasting in his Mum’s garage in Woolloomooloo nearly 30 years ago, and there’s been a change or two along the way. These days, Toby has left the building, but we've welcomed three new cafes to the fold – Newstead in Brisbane, Fitzroy in Melbourne and an outpost in Singapore, and our Chippendale Flagship cafe won best coffee shop in the world in 2025 (and top 5 in 2026). We’re exploding on the international scene too – with Japan and New York on the cards, not to mention licensees and roasteries in nine countries, and counting. But the DNA hasn’t changed – we are leaders in specialty coffee for a reason.

Day to day in this role you will:

• Work alongside our existing team to ensure that every cup of coffee and plate of food that leaves our hands meets the same high-quality standard.
• Take orders and operate the POS.
• Provide an excellent experience to our Toby’s customers.

This is a casual role, estimated to be working 3 days, 15-20 hours per week at our Fitzroy cafe.
