Job summary

South Yarra Cellars is seeking enthusiastic casual floor staff to join our wine store and bar in South Yarra. You’ll deliver warm, knowledgeable customer service, serve wine and other drinks, and help guests explore our wine selection in a welcoming space.

The role offers flexible casual shifts, a friendly team, and opportunities to deepen wine knowledge through events and collaborations in a relaxed retail and bar environment.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in hospitality and wine service.
• Friendly, confident personality with a passion for helping customers.
• Experience in hospitality, bar, wine bar or retail is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and develop wine knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, engaging and knowledgeable customer service.

Love wine, good people and a great atmosphere? We're looking for enthusiastic, hospitality-minded casual floor staff to join the team at South Yarra Cellars.

We're a wine store and bar with a passion for great bottles, great service and creating a welcoming space for our guests. From helping customers discover their next favourite wine to pouring drinks across the bar, no two shifts are quite the same.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering warm, engaging and knowledgeable customer service.
• Serving wine, cocktails and other drinks across our bar and retail space.
• Helping customers explore our wine selection and discover new favourites.
• Assisting with daily venue operations, including opening, closing and maintaining a clean, inviting space.
• Getting involved in our wine events, bar takeovers and specialty weeks, including Negroni Week and other exciting collaborations.

What we're looking for

• A genuine interest in wine and hospitality.
• A friendly, confident personality and a passion for customer service.
• Previous hospitality experience, ideally in a bar, wine bar or retail environment.
• A reliable team player who takes pride in what they do.
• A willingness to learn, develop wine knowledge and get involved.
• Wine knowledge is a big plus, but a great attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for the industry go a long way.
