Job summary

Brisbane City Council seeks an Environment Centre Officer to deliver engaging environmental learning and community programs across multiple Environment Centres. You will support day-to-day operations, provide excellent customer service, and help engage volunteers while promoting environmental stewardship.

You will deliver learning activities to diverse audiences, develop resources, and contribute to welcoming and operating the centres.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental learning principles and delivering environmental education to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of native flora, fauna and habitats and ability to interpret ecological processes.
• Experience delivering community engagement activities and supporting volunteers.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational and time management abilities.
• A valid Working with Children Blue Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental learning programs at Environment Centres and connect people with the natural environment.
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors and support community engagement initiatives.
• Support volunteers and contribute to welcoming and operating the centres.
