Job summary

Brisbane City Council is seeking an Environment Centre Officer to deliver engaging environmental learning programs and support the day-to-day operations of Brisbane's Environment Centres. You will create meaningful experiences that connect people with the natural environment and promote environmental stewardship.

The role involves delivering learning programs to diverse audiences, developing educational resources, and providing excellent customer service across Council Environment Centres.

Qualifications

• knowledge of environmental learning principles and experience delivering environmental education activities to a range of audiences
• knowledge of native and exotic flora, fauna and habitats, with the ability to interpret natural history and ecological processes
• experience delivering community engagement activities and events and supporting volunteers
• well-developed customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
• strong organisational and time management skills
• a valid Working with Children Blue Card.
