Job summary

Northern Rivers Community Gateway is recruiting Casual Educators to support Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) services across the Northern Rivers during Vacation Care periods. Vacations programs run from 8:00am to 6:00pm with engaging activities and excursion days.

Shifts are available across Alstonville, Wollongbar, Mullumbimby, Kyogle, Casino and Lismore. A NSW Driver’s Licence and WWCC are required; Certificate III in Children’s Services is highly desirable and work is across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children in education, recreation or care settings.
• Currently studying towards or holding a Certificate III in Children’s Services.
• NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Hold NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and willingness to obtain a National Police Check.
• Commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of engaging, child-centred programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework.
• Foster respectful, supportive relationships with children.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and fun environment in line with the National Quality Framework.
• Assist with routines, care, supervision and learning opportunities across structured and free play activities.
• Support children during excursions, activities and vacation care experiences.
• Collaborate with a passionate and professional team to provide high-quality care across multiple sites.
