Job summary

Diocese of Lismore is seeking Casual Educators for the Outside School Hours Care service at St Patrick’s Primary School, Macksville. The role offers flexible hours within a Monday to Friday roster, including after-school and vacation care.

Candidates should have relevant OSHC experience or qualifications, a NSW Working with Children Check, and current First Aid (HLTAID012) with Child Protection training (CHCPRT025) or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or qualifications related to OSHC and child care.
• Ability to apply and comply with safeguarding principles and mandatory reporting.
• Professional presentation and excellent punctuality.
• Ability to engage positively with children and families.
• Available for a Monday to Friday roster (no weekends).

Responsibilities

• After school care and school holiday programs.
• Organise and supervise children in recreational and educational activities.
• Support positive behaviours and self-regulation.
• Apply policies or procedures related to childcare.
• Build relationships with children and families and represent the service.
• Responsible Person shifts for experienced candidates.
